Friends, This blog ended up with another name because "Feed Your Soul" was used in different places on the Internet and I didn't want any confusion.
I hope you have continued to reflect on Isaiah 42:1-17 even though we have gone through the hectic holiday season. God's voice has strongly called out to me with the words, "I am the Lord. That is my name. I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols." With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I have found a strong idol in the way I want things to go smoothly and efficiently. I have begun the process of tearing that idol down and moving toward more freedom in Christ and trust in God's power!
"He won’t brush aside the bruised and the hurt and he won’t disregard the small and insignificant, but he’ll steadily and firmly set things right." (vs. 3, The Message)
ReplyDeleteThis is the promise I hold on to today. I know it's all in God's timing, but I find myself growing weary.
Thank you for putting up this blog, Janice. I am sad to have to miss our gathering this Saturday, but I will continue to check the blog for more insights and to see what scripture we will be meditating on next.
